Research Assistant Rochelle has received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from San Jose State University. She has been working in the field of Youth/Family Services for over 25 years. Substance Use Disorder Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment; Criminal Justice System; Mental Health Counseling; Community Advocacy, Crisis Intervention, and Strengthening the Family are her areas of expertise. |
Rochelle currently works as the Program Director for Project Eden, A Program of Horizon Services, Inc. Project Eden is an adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Outpatient Treatment Program in Hayward. It specializes in working with youth and families who struggle with problems related to alcohol and other drug use/abuse. Project Eden works with youth, families, and the community in Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Hayward, and parts of Union City. Project Eden also has the only LGBTQ Youth Substance Abuse Intervention Program in Alameda County. Project Eden/Lambda Youth Project host’s the Annual Gay Prom, which has been in existence for 20 yrs.
Rochelle recently went back to school and is in the process of getting her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
In her spare time, Rochelle likes to garden, volunteer, and spend time with family and friends. She also likes to attend outdoor festivals, plays, concerts, and go on long rides to historical destinations.
