Child and Youth Development
Children and youth from early childhood to early adulthood face stage-specific risks, relationships and opportunities that cumulatively influence their life chances into adulthood. A developmental perspective carries tremendous weight to inform youth development efforts worldwide.
If you require an evaluator or planner who understands and can provide a range of tailored services from practice to research-based to support youth development, we can fill this need. We have written county and community youth reports analyzing data from multiple sources such as vital statistics, hospital data, injury prevention, arrest rates, all within the context of ecological-developmental and resilience theories, as well as building on current knowledge to date in the literature. We have worked closely with youth of color in school settings, community, or juvenile justice system settings, with youth groups and several youth developmental programs - in partnership with youth coordinators - to develop and conduct surveys and assessments, engage youth in strategic planning, data analysis, and preparing data reports that are youth friendly. We have also conducted youth-led participatory action research and published academic papers on youth development and resilience. We strongly believe in the power and potential of youth, and using creative methods and processes that are youth-driven.
