Who We Are
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
We are an emerging research and development consulting firm established in 2014 based in Oakland, California. We are a diverse group of researchers, evaluators, social entrepreneurs, educators, trainers, advocates, professors, and planners who are eager and highly committed to making a difference in the world through quality research, evaluation and development. We each bring more than 20-35 years of cross-sector experience working in public health, education, juvenile justice, social services, non-profits, and foundations locally and internationally. We also work closely with a graphic design team, a methodologist, an IT/database developer, and a mapper as needed.
In addition, we selectively partner with researchers, professors, community leaders, practitioners, other experts and other consulting groups and larger research institutions, depending on subject matter and project requirements to ensure the best possible team can be at your service. We are open to building lasting relationships with other evaluation firms and community partners worldwide who complement and enhance our work, and have a shared vision, values, and work ethics.
For international projects, we rely on our partners to help us hire and train local data collectors from the community. We believe this enhances local capacity, ensures methods used are meaningful and culturally-appropriate, and sustainable results.
We look forward to partnering with you and building a lasting trusting relationship towards a healthier, more equitable and just world.
