Mental Health and Wellness
We have had several projects working on mental health of children, adolescents, women, and community, ranging from early childhood mental health to senior mental health. With direct personal and professional experience with mental health disorders, we are fully committed to increasing awareness of mental health issues, and growing need for mental health services around the world. Recognizing particularly the stigma associated with mental health in the Asian culture and countries, there is vast need to better understand and provide culturally-responsive educational materials and services to particular subgroups of populations. In addition, the link between mental health and violence, particularly in high-risk communities of color, immigrants, youth, LGTQB for instance, deserves greater cross-system collaboration and holistic restorative solutions.
We understand the screening, assessment, prevention and treatment spectrum for early childhood to adolescence, and have conducted MH needs assessments, planning and research and evaluation studies. We are familiar with various theories and methods to reliably measure mental health from symptomology to psychiatric DSM disorders. We are particularly interested in, and have experience measuring emotional well-being using a strength-based resilience-based theory and perspective.
